I just moved from Eastland County to Limestone County about three weeks ago, and I need to update my address on my Texas driver’s license. Can I do this online, or do I have to go in person? Also, I need to update my address on my concealed carry license. Anyone know the process?
Yeah, you can do it online! Just go to the Texas DPS website and log in. You’ll need your driver’s license number, DOB, last four of your SSN, and the audit number from your license. It costs $11.

Oh cool, I didn’t know it was that simple. Do they mail you a new license, or do you print one?

They mail you the new one, but you can print a temp license that’s good for 60 days.
For your LTC, you also have to update it separately. It’s a different process from your driver’s license.

Ugh, of course it’s separate. Do you have the link for that?

Yeah, here’s the site: Welcome | License to Carry a Handgun | Texas.gov. You’ll need to log in and pay a $25 fee.
Does updating your driver’s license address automatically update your LTC?

Nope, you have to do each one separately. Kinda annoying, but that’s how it works.
If you’d rather do it by mail for your LTC, you can fill out form LTC-70 and send it in. Here’s the link: https://www.dps.texas.gov/InternetForms/Forms/LTC-70.pdf.

Appreciate it! I might just do it online to save the hassle.
FYI, you’re supposed to update your address within 30 days of moving. Since it’s been three weeks, you’ve got a little time left!

Good to know! Didn’t realize there was a time limit.
