How do I get a copy of my lost diploma from Capital High Online?

I got my diploma from Capital High Online in 2006, but I’ve lost it. I’m trying to figure out how to get in touch with the school. Anyone been through this before or have tips on what to do?

I had a similar issue! First thing, try looking up their contact info online. Sometimes old schools still have an email or number available.

Good idea. I’ll check, but IDK if they’re still around. What if they’re closed?

If they’re closed, check with the state education department. They might have records or can point you in the right direction.

Did you try reaching out to any alumni groups or social media pages? Sometimes old classmates have leads.

I haven’t, but that’s a good shout. Do schools usually have alumni groups on Facebook or something?

Yeah, FB is a good start. Just search for the school name, and you might find groups or even former staff.

If all else fails, you could consider getting a GED. It’s a solid alternative if you need proof of high school completion.

Thanks, I hope I don’t need to go that far, but good to know it’s an option.

FYI, some third-party services specialize in retrieving records from closed schools. They can be pricey, but might be worth it.

Didn’t know that was a thing! Do you know any names?

I think Parchment and DiplomaSender are two of them. Check their sites for more info.

Accrediting bodies might also have info. Do you know if Capital High was accredited?

Honestly, I’m not sure. How would I find that out?

Check their old website if it’s archived, or ask the state department of education—they usually keep records on accreditation.
