My ex-husband stopped paying child support over 2 years ago after only 3 months of payments. He owes about $22k now. I don’t know where he works, and I’ve tried contacting the Texas Attorney General’s (OAG) office multiple times, but no action has been taken. Any advice on how to get them to enforce the child support?
The OAG often does the bare minimum. Call them daily and let them know you’re contacting the federal Office of Child Support Services (OCSS) about Texas failing to enforce your order. They should have at least revoked his driver’s and professional licenses.
Try to find out where he works and report it to the child support office. They can start withholding payments from his employer.
The state agency often prioritizes the state’s interests over the parent’s. If enforcement doesn’t work, you may need to hire an attorney to modify your case, but it could be costly ($15-20k).

I just want the OAG to enforce the existing support order. I can’t afford an attorney at the moment.
Ensure you have a “full-service” case with the OAG. They collect a small fee but are supposed to actively enforce support.

How do I get that?

Call the OAG or visit an office to put in the request.
