I was reading about Sam Bernstein, the lawyer from Michigan, and it says he’s been practicing since the 70s. He’s in his mid-seventies now. Does anyone know if he’s still running his firm and active in the profession?
Yeah, he’s still active. I read that he’s still running The Sam Bernstein Law Firm. He’s been leading it since 1970 and is still going strong.

Interesting. Is he involved day-to-day, or more like behind the scenes now?
@Zen
From what I’ve seen, he’s still very much involved in the firm’s activities. It doesn’t look like he’s slowing down at all.
@Zen
Makes sense. His firm is one of the biggest in Michigan, so I’d imagine he’s still very hands-on.
I remember reading about his big case involving accessibility at Michigan Stadium. He worked on it with the Paralyzed Veterans of America.

Yeah, that case made a big difference. They improved accessibility after that, right? I think it involved the Department of Justice too.
@Reece
Exactly. That settlement led to better accessibility at the stadium. It was a pretty big deal back then.
His family has been in law for so long. They’ve been practicing since 1899. That’s pretty impressive.

Yeah, and his son, Richard, is on the Michigan Supreme Court now. He’s been involved in some really important cases too.

Richard’s story is really inspiring, especially since he became a justice despite being blind.
I’m surprised Sam hasn’t retired yet. He’s been at it for decades, but I guess he still enjoys it.

Yeah, it seems like he’s passionate about his work. If you’re still able to help people, why retire?
I’ve seen a lot of his commercials. Seems like he’s been a fixture in the Michigan legal scene for ages.

Same here. He’s been advertising for as long as I can remember. His firm is still one of the most recognized in the state.
