Is the xarelto cost covered?

I was wondering if the cost of Xarelto is covered by insurance. Anyone know? I tried asking but still waiting for an answer. Any help would be appreciated!

I think it really depends on your insurance plan. I don’t think Medicare covers it fully, but they might cover part of it. You should check directly with them.

I had the same issue with my insurance. They didn’t cover it all, but I got a discount through my doctor. It might be worth asking about that!

Hmm, I’ll try that! Didn’t know they could offer discounts like that. Thanks for the tip!

My husband takes Xarelto, and it was covered through our private insurance. You might want to call your insurance provider directly for a clear answer though.

Yeah, that’s what I had to do too. I had to call and get them to explain how much they’d cover specifically for that medication.

Exactly! Insurance coverage can be so confusing, but calling them helps a lot to get the exact details.

I don’t think Xarelto is covered unless you’ve got a specific prescription plan. Maybe look into Medicare’s prescription drug coverage, they might help out.

I’ve got Medicare too, so I’ll try calling them. Thanks for the heads up!

You might want to ask if there’s a deductible involved. Sometimes it’s a higher cost if there’s a deductible before your insurance kicks in.

Oh right, I didn’t think of that. I’ll ask about the deductible when I call!

I’ve been dealing with this too! I called the insurance but it’s such a hassle to get a straight answer. Just keep calling, they’ll eventually get back to you.

Ugh, I know right? The runaround is real. I’ll keep at it though.
