Is this workplace bullying...?

I’ve been going through a lot at work lately. Had my management duties taken away and got my PTO requests denied. Is this kind of thing considered bullying?

Yeah, that definitely sounds like it could be bullying. Especially if it’s targeted just at you. Have they given any real reason for the changes?

Right? Losing management duties without reason sounds like they’re pushing you out or something.

They said it’s because of staffing changes, but honestly, feels like more than that. Only happening to me.

If it’s just affecting you, sounds pretty targeted. Have you tried escalating it higher up?

I did, went all the way up the chain. Small company though, so options are limited.

That’s rough. Small companies can make things tricky, especially if there aren’t many people to report to.

Isn’t it also a problem if they’ve got the HR person overseeing your complaints when they’re buddies with management?

Yes! The HR lead is close with the higher-ups, so it feels super biased. Doesn’t seem fair at all.

If they’re treating you like this just for asking about your PTO, that’s a bad sign. Could totally be a hostile work environment.

Totally agree. They might even be retaliating since OP has been reporting issues.

Yeah, feels like retaliation for sure. Just wanted fair treatment, but now it’s even worse.

Hey, keep a record of everything, emails, screenshots, all that. It’ll help if you decide to take it further.
