I live in Washington, and my job sometimes asks me to be on call over the weekends. Even if this pushes my total hours over 40 for the week, they don’t pay for the on-call time. Is this legal … are there any specific rules about this
It really depends on how much freedom you have while on call. If you can’t do personal things, you might need to be paid for that time.
