I left my wallet in a Lyft car around 7pm tonight. The driver’s name was Erick, and it was in Gainesville. I don’t have his number and IDK how to get my wallet back. Any ideas on how I can contact him or Lyft to get it returned?
Ugh, that’s the worst. You can try using the Lyft app to contact the driver. If you go to your ride history, you should see an option to message or call Erick. You have 24 hours to do it before that option disappears though.

Oh, didn’t know I could message through the app! I’ll check that out. What if it’s been more than 24 hours?

If it’s been more than 24 hours, you can fill out a lost item form on the Lyft website. They’ll help you track it down or at least try to get the driver to return it.
Definitely check your ride receipt email too. There’s usually a link there to report lost items. You can contact the driver the same way, through a masked number.

Thanks! I didn’t think about checking the email. I’ll give that a shot.
If all else fails, Lyft might charge a $20 fee for the driver to return your wallet, but it’s totally worth it if you get your stuff back. Make sure to follow up in case they miss your request.

I’ll be happy to pay the fee if I get it back, lol. Thanks for the heads up!
If there’s any sensitive info like IDs or cards in your wallet, you might want to file a police report. Lyft can assist law enforcement with getting the wallet back if it’s necessary.

Good point. I’ll definitely consider that if I can’t get it back soon.
Just checked the Lyft help page for lost items, and it’s pretty detailed. Here’s the link: Lost & found for riders - Lyft Help. It has all the steps in case you need it.
@Lior
Awesome, thanks for the link! I’ll go through it if I don’t hear back from the driver.
