I’m dealing with a tough situation and could use some advice. I need a personal injury lawyer to handle two near-vehicular manslaughter attempts in Maryland. It’s complicated—one of the drivers was connected to the state’s attorney, and my first lawyer dropped the ball during my case. To make it worse, I’ve been dealing with public corruption issues, hate crimes, and even gang-related targeting. Any recommendations for someone experienced in these kinds of cases? IDK where to even start at this point.
Wow, that sounds intense. Have you tried looking into appellate lawyers? They might be able to help with filing motions.

I talked to one, but they said I might need another personal injury lawyer because of how complex this is. Any suggestions for someone who does both?

What’s an appellate lawyer? Never heard of that before.

They’re lawyers who specialize in handling appeals in court. They focus on cases that were dismissed or where errors were made during the trial.
I feel for you. Corruption cases can be tricky. Maybe try a lawyer with experience in civil rights too?

Good idea. Civil rights might overlap with my hate crime issues. Know any good ones in Maryland?
Have you filed all the police reports for these incidents? Sometimes having solid documentation helps with legal cases.

Yeah, filed police reports for both accidents. The first was on Jan 10 and the second on Jan 13. Still stuck dealing with all this.

Sounds like you’ve done your part. Maybe you could ask a lawyer to focus on building a stronger case from that paperwork?
IDK if this helps, but I’ve heard Geico lawyers can be tough. You’ll need someone who’s handled insurance companies before.

That’s exactly the problem. The Geico lawyer is trying to toss my case. Any tips for dealing with that?

Maybe look for someone with experience fighting big insurers? They usually know all the tricks.

I hadn’t considered that. Do you know of any in Baltimore County?

Look up Maryland Legal Aid. They’re pretty reputable and might help with corruption-related cases.
