I’m in a bit of a bind. I need help from an Educational Attorney with a Board exam that’s ADA approved, to be done on paper/written. Long story short, the testing center told me one thing and then on the day of the exam, it turned out to be completely different. I asked the Board and Pearson Vue for the official policies but they’re not giving me anything. How do I figure out what the true policies are for this written pharmacy exam and how it should be graded? Any advice would be appreciated, thanks!
That sounds frustrating! If they’re not providing the info, maybe try to escalate things by requesting it in writing? That way you have something on record. I’ve been in similar situations where they tried to dodge questions, but being persistent helped.
@Zeke
Yeah, definitely go the written route. If you can, maybe try email or certified mail so you have proof of your request. Seems like they’re not taking you seriously otherwise.
@Zeke
Exactly. It’s not always easy but having documentation can really help if you need to take it further.
I’d be careful with Pearson Vue, they can be tricky. Make sure you know your rights under ADA and keep a record of everything. Sometimes getting in touch with an advocate or a local attorney can also help if they’re dragging their feet.
@Parker
Yeah, I’ve heard Pearson Vue can be tough to deal with. Definitely get in touch with someone who knows the laws. You don’t want them to mess with your exam process.
So sorry you’re dealing with this! Sounds like a total headache. Since you mentioned you’re handling it yourself, maybe reach out to a local law school or legal clinic? Sometimes they offer free help for cases like this.
@Wei
Thanks, I hadn’t thought of that! I’ll look into local law schools and see if they can help. Appreciate the tip!
Wow, that’s insane! It’s frustrating when you don’t get clear info. I’d suggest making sure you know exactly what your rights are under the ADA and keep pushing for those records. Seems like the Board’s just trying to hide stuff.
@Dara
Totally agree. I’ve been in similar situations before where the other side wasn’t being open. But you gotta keep on top of it.
I’m not sure if this is the same, but I’ve dealt with the EEOC before. If they’re not cooperating with you, maybe there’s a higher-up you can contact? A lot of times, people just need to get their attention.
@Raven
Yeah, I’ve been trying to get the attention of higher-ups but no luck so far. It’s a bit of a dead end at the moment.
@Raven
Ugh, that’s so frustrating. Hang in there, though. Sometimes they do eventually respond if you’re persistent enough.
