Need help paying a traffic fine in Florida

Hey everyone, I got a traffic fine in Eustis, Florida (32726) and I’m not sure how to go about paying it. It’s my first time dealing with something like this, and I’d love some advice on the best way to handle it. Anyone been through this before?

Yeah, you can pay it online through the PayFLClerks website. Just select Lake County, and it’ll redirect you to the right place.

Do you know if there are extra fees for paying online?

@Skye
I think there might be a small convenience fee, but it’s usually worth it for the ease. Check the website to be sure.

What’s the website? Never heard of it before.

It’s payflclerk.com. Super easy to use!

If you don’t want to pay online, you can also mail it in. Just use the blue envelope that came with the ticket.

What if I lost the blue envelope?

No worries, just send your payment to the Lake County Clerk’s office with your ticket number and details.

For in-person payments, you can visit the Clerk of Court in Tavares. Just bring your ticket with you.

Do they take credit cards? I hate carrying cash.

Yep, but there might be a small service charge for card payments. Best to call and check first.

If money’s tight, you can ask for a payment plan. Lake County offers those if you owe $150 or more.

How do I apply for a payment plan?

You’ll need to contact the Clerk’s office and fill out an application. They’ll walk you through it.

Don’t forget about traffic school! It won’t waive the fine, but it might keep points off your license.

Do I need to tell someone if I want to do traffic school?

Yeah, let the Clerk’s office know before you pay the fine. They’ll guide you on the next steps.
