Yeah, that sounds like an offer letter and not legally binding. They can change things to fit their needs.

Those rarely count as real contracts.
Does it list specific expiration dates or terms for ending it?

A signed offer letter can sometimes have binding terms. Even if it’s not a full contract, it might be enough to go to small claims over a bonus if the wording is solid and accepted.
