Hey, I’m looking for the museum for the 459th Bombardment Group. I have my father’s records and pictures that I’d like to donate. Anyone know where I should send them?
I think it’s the Army Air Corps Library and Museum. They have a ton of stuff for the 459th. You might want to check them out.

Yeah, that’s the one! They’re located in Irving, TX. Not Georgia like you thought, though.
@Keagan
Ah, thanks for clearing that up! I was so sure it was in Georgia, haha.
Oh, that’s cool! I think the Army Air Corps Library and Museum has everything from uniforms to records. Good place for donations!

Nice, that’s good to know. I’ll get in touch with them about sending my dad’s stuff!
Do they take donations from people not related to the group? Or is it only for family members?

I’m pretty sure they take donations from anyone interested in preserving history. They’d probably love to have your dad’s records.

Thanks, that’s helpful. I’ve got a few WWII records lying around too. Might donate them.
Is there an online form to send in donations or do you have to call them first?

I think you can just contact them through their website or even call. They’re pretty responsive.
I love that you’re donating his records. That’s such a nice way to honor his service.

Thanks! He was really proud of his time in the service. Glad to pass it on for others to see.
